Summado: sales data for your AI assistant
Summado is a data layer for businesses that sell on Amazon. Summado transfers the data from your seller account into its own database, turns it into metrics and provides it through a remote server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This lets you ask AI assistants such as Claude questions about revenue, inventory and margin and get answers based on your own data.
How Summado works
- You connect your seller account (Seller Central) to Summado by authorizing access at Amazon. Summado receives no password and does not request access to buyer data.
- Summado loads the data into its database at regular intervals and calculates metrics from it. How often depends on the plan (Pricing).
- You connect your AI assistant to the Summado MCP server. The assistant sends its requests to Summado, and Summado answers from its own database, not live from Amazon.
- Every answer states how current the data is, as well as the marketplace, currency and time zone.
Features
The features follow the data areas for which Summado receives access at Amazon. They cover the questions merchants ask every week: How did the week go? Which products make money? What needs to be reordered?
- Revenue and traffic per ASIN
- Ordered revenue, units sold, sessions and conversion per day, week or month, per ASIN or SKU, with a comparison to an earlier period and the top products by revenue.
- Orders
- Orders and order items with product, quantity, price, time and marketplace, without the name, address or contact details of buyers.
- Inventory and days of supply
- Inventory in Fulfillment by Amazon, reserved and inbound quantities, and days of supply at the current rate of sale.
- Fees and payouts
- Fees, refunds and payouts from the financial data of your seller account.
- Margin per SKU
- Revenue minus fees and the purchase prices (COGS) that you upload yourself. Margin in this form does not include advertising costs.
- Search Query Performance
- For merchants with access to Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance reports per ASIN are planned as an extension.
Advertising
For advertising, reports on campaigns, targets and search terms are planned, with metrics such as ACoS, ROAS and advertising efficiency, plus TACoS (Amazon advertising costs relative to Amazon revenue) and margin per SKU after advertising costs.
Amazon Ads reports are in preparation and not yet available.
Your data
- No buyer data. Summado does not request access to names, addresses or contact details of buyers and does not store them.
- Storage in the EU. The database is located in a data center in Ireland. Some of the providers Summado uses for this are based outside the EU; the details are in the privacy policy.
- Encryption. All connections over the internet use TLS, and the credentials for your account are protected by envelope encryption.
- Only for you. Your data is analyzed only for you and provided only to you and to the AI assistant that you connect yourself. It is kept separate from the data of other customers and is not used for analyses across several merchants.
- No training. Summado does not call a language model itself and does not train models with your data.
